We’ve adapted them from the Privacy Policy for Wordpress (Automattic Inc.) which means you’re more than welcome to repurpose it for your own use. Just make sure to replace references to us with ones to you, and we hear that the Automattic folks would welcome a link to automattic.com somewhere on your website.

Purpose

ChangeSprout, Inc. operates VisitThem.org to build power for progressive causes. Our policies are designed to further that goal.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, ChangeSprout collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, the date and time of each visitor request, and other server logging data. ChangeSprout’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how VisitThem.org visitors use the website and ensure its smooth and reliable operation. From time to time, ChangeSprout may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

ChangeSprout also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, names, mailing addresses, cities, states, postcodes, email addresses, and telephone numbers of users taking action on the site. This information is used to provide site visitors with accurate information about their representatives and for other operations related to the running of VisitThem.org. ChangeSprout has no ability to control and is not responsible for regulating our partner organization’s use of the personal information. We’ll always clearly provide third party organization’s privacy policies on campaigns that share information with partner organizations.

For users with organizational accounts, we’ll also email you directly with updates, new features, and other information about the campaigns that you are operating on the platform.

In addition to the transfers described above, ChangeSprout discloses personally-identifying information to those of its employees, contractors and service providers that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on ChangeSprout’s behalf or to ensure the reliable operation of the VisitThem.org website, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the VisitThem.org website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
